Darwin Day Activities

Heather Brockway gave me the heads up that there are some activities taking place on campus to celebrate the great Chuck D (Charles Darwin for those that prefer not to mix their evolution with their old school rap).   Here is a link to the Iowa City festivities, the most notable being today’s lecture by E.O. Wilson (Wikipedia).

Here’s the lowdown:

  1. Tonight (2/11) @ 7:30 in the IMU Ballroom: E.O. Wilson Lecture
  2. Tomorrow @ 9-11am: E.O. Wilson Lecture and Discussion on “Why Biodiversity Matters” in the Old Capitol Senate Chamber
  3. Friday from 3-5:30pm, Darwin Day Symposium with notable speakers in Kollros Auditotium + birthday party @ 5:30
